What We are All About

At Father Michael McGivney Catholic Academy students are at the centre of the enterprise, receiving a balanced education according to the vision of the founders and in keeping with the changes in society.

Unchanging is the school’s commitment to serving the learning needs of the whole student.

Graduates of Father Michael McGivney Catholic Academy go on to higher studies and enter society as responsible, productive citizens. Some alumni have returned to the school as teachers, many have distinguished themselves academically, and others have received post secondary athletic scholarships.

Student leadership is a hallmark of the school. Student Leadership At McGivney (SLAM) was initiated almost at the school’s inception, steadily drawing in more and more of the student body to organize, plan and participate in student activities that build a unique school community.

The school strives for the best in educational practices in the pursuit of comprehensive student success, not only in terms of academic achievement, but also in the building of a school community dedicated to both learning and holiness.
