The Vatican shared the wonderful news this week that the cause for the sainthood of Father Michael McGivney reached another stage with the approval of another miracle attributed to McGivney. Father Michael McGivney is to be beatified!
On May 26th, 2020, Pope Francis authorized the Congregation for the Causes of Saints to recognize a miracle that occurred in 2015 in the United States that is attributed to Father McGivney. This recognition will mean that McGivney moves from the rank of “Venerable” to “Blessed Michael McGivney” following his upcoming beatification. The Beatification Mass will take place in Connecticut (US), the birthplace of Father McGivney.
